Hi, you don't know me but I stumbled across your blog b/c we have various mutual friends from CBU. I just wanted to indulge further about how amazing Prague is! I spent two months there in 2007 working with the IMB and fell in love with that city. So far, it remains at the top of my list for favorite European city.

"This experience has really made me think about how our lives can easily become stories we tell people, with certain details we want people to know about embellished, and other less favorable details omitted."

Maybe my life like, daily. I can count on one hand those who I am sincerely honest with and who I feel truly know me, both the good side and the bad side of me.

Thanks for this...it is challenging.
Oh, and I'm glad you were safe and had fun. :-)

Bronzino's "Allegory with Venus and Cupid" is the subject of my latest historical novel, "Cupid and the Silent Goddess", which imagines how the painting might have been created in Florence in 1544-5.

Tour Guide Steve:
"And to your left is the Prague Castle. The castle where the Czech kings, Holy Roman Emperors and presidents of the Czech Republic (and Czechoslovakia) have had their offices. The crown jewels of the Bohemian Kingdom are kept here. Prague Castle is one of the biggest castles in the world (according to Guinness Book of Records the biggest ancient castle) at about 570 meters in length and an average of about 130 meters wide."
